July is usually a slower period for sports betting, and this allows for those who avail of a PPH service to prepare for the onslaught of wagers in the months to come. Of course, the continued legalization of sports betting in different countries changes things. The numbers are definitely improving.

For instance, New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement’s report details a $5.3 million year on year increase for the month of July. Gambling operators in New Jersey generated a $25.9 million revenue in July. The highest action the state of the US has seen was March this year. However, July’s figures are higher by $300,000.00. Thus, July is the highest record for the state.

New Jersey Online Gambling numbers

Looking at the year-to-date numbers, total revenue is higher by 16.5%, at $165.4 million. The casino vertical was up by 19.7% at $152.4 million, while poker was down 11% at $13 million. Still, $13 million is pretty good.

Another reason for the spike in the numbers could be the entrance of a couple of the newest gambling operators. Ocean Resort Casino and Hard Rock Atlantic city submitted their first online contributions this July. Hard Rock has $330,000.00 while Ocean Resort had around $250,000.00. Both of these casinos have plans to launch their live dealer studios soon as well.

All in all, it was not just the new casinos that contributed to the growth of revenue for the month. You have Caesars Interactive, who ranks 4th with a bit below $3.8 million. But their poker sites are doing great at $728,000.00. Third on the list is Resorts Digital Gaming with $3.94 million, where $653,000.00 of the amount came from Poker.

Second on the list is the Borgata group, which earned $4.9 million, where around $468,000.00 came from Poker. Lastly, you have the Golden Nugget on the top of the list. Golden Nugget has a total of $9.3 million reported. It was a record amount for the casino and its online-only operations as well. Their record was highest last March as well, at $8.65 million.

These New Jersey numbers are great, considering it’s not the peak season for gambling. And with professional sports leagues starting their seasons soon, the numbers will only get better.
