If you are wondering how much bookies earn, it will largely depend on the outcome of how you balance your lines and manage your sportsbook. There is no exact percentage of revenue from the handle. But in Indiana’s case, the revenue for July is $6.658 million. This is 127% higher than June’s $2.922 million revenue.

The betting handle for retail sportsbooks is $6.330 million. This is 897.8% higher than June’s paltry $634,486. Meanwhile, online sports betting has a $64.545 million handle. This is 121.4% higher than June’s $29.149 million.

A Better Forecast for August

Pay Per Head industry experts from PricePerPlayer.com are expecting sports betting numbers to improve even better for August. The NHL, NBA, and the MLB will be having full schedules for August. Of course, this is barring any postponement due to Coronavirus concerns. So far, the MLB is the only league among the three where we are seeing changes in game schedules. Compared to the NBA, the MLB is having problems as players and team staff members are testing positive to the coronavirus.

Betting in this week alone should be good in Indiana. The Pacers are 5th place in the Eastern Conference race for the NBA playoffs. They have 2 scheduled games against the Miami Heat. The two teams will be battling it out for the 4th and 5th spot in the conference. But Baseball is getting even more wagers- worth around $14.520 million in July alone. With all these sports back on the calendar, Indiana’s August numbers will be even higher than July’s.
