According to sports betting software solutions, November 23, is the official launch date for all sportsbook apps. Or at least it is for the sportsbooks that have a Maryland online sportsbook license and are ready to go live. While the timing of the launch is in the middle of the football season, it is still pretty decent timing. This is because it comes right at the start of the 2022 World Cup and the Thanksgiving NFL game. Of course, we also cannot forget that this is the final weekend of the regular college football season. Needless to say, a lot of sports betting action will be taking place this week.

According to the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Control Agency (SLGCA), online sports betting will be available to everyone. This means that bettors do not need to be a resident of Maryland, However, they will have to be physically present in Maryland in order to place their online wager.

The Maryland sports betting law allows for 47 retail sportsbook licenses, 60 online sportsbook licenses and three licenses in reserve. Last week, the Sports Wagering Application Review Commission gave approval for 10 online sportsbooks licenses. Shortly after, they said that these 10 online bookmakers would launch on November 23, 2022.

Last month, the SLGCA got a total of 21 mobile betting applications. Out of those, these are the companies that have will go live tomorrow.

Unfortunately, BetFred, PointBet and betPARX will not be able to launch on Wednesday. However, according to bookie pph sources, they have plans to start taking online wagers at a later date.
