PointsBet Gets a Sports Betting License in Indiana and Future Plans

The global expansion of PointsBet began in 2018 when they got a sports betting license to operate in New Jersey. Since PointsBet is doing well in New Jersey and Iowa, it make sense for them to expand into other states.

The Australian company does not have a specific date as to when they will launch their first online sportsbook. However, Patrick Eichner of PointsBet said they “look forward to providing more” sports betting products to the folks in Indiana.

The IGC expects to give approval for more sports betting license in the state.  Including PointsBet, they have given approval to three sports betting operators this month.  In fact, just two weeks ago they gave Roar Digital (BetMGM and BetIndiana) a temporary license.

Indiana is the ideal location for online sportsbooks because they do not require in-person casino registrations.  Thus, sports bettors do not need to go to a casino or anywhere else to register for an online sports betting account. In short, if they are physically in the state and have a mobile phone, they can bet on sports!
