West Virginia is also one of the 5 states (along with New Jersey, Nevada, Delaware, and Pennsylvania) that offers iGaming. These states offer online casino games as well as online poker. iGaming in the state for September has a handle of $74.8 million. This is 89.3% higher than August. Given that West Virginia allows for online sports wagering as well as online casino gaming, the local gambling industry will not have much of a problem bouncing back from the pandemic. Retail casinos and sportsbooks will have more problems as they cannot open in full capacity. But online sports betting and iGaming will be more than enough to help augment and bring in better numbers.
