With states showing increases in handle over the past few months, Colorado also sees an upward trend in betting. Not only are they seeing an increase in betting, but Colorado sets a new sports betting handle record this October.

The total sports betting handle for October is $210.72 million, 1.5%, or roughly $3 million higher than September’s handle of $207.656 million. This is the highest betting handle Colorado has seen since its launch. Colorado is one of the few states in the country that seems to break betting records on a monthly basis.

Colorado Sets a New Sports Betting Handle Record

The state’s October numbers not only give us a good look at their growing industry, but its also showing an increase in revenue as well. Colorado has $210,719.821 in betting revenue. This is 1.3% higher than September’s $207,655,943. Meanwhile, the total handle for mobile betting for October is at $206.441 million. This is 1.3% higher than September’s $203.883 million. Again, mobile wagering takes up most of the handle with only around $4 million wagered in retail sportsbooks across the state.

Looking at the share of each sport in the handle, it is unsurprising that Pro football takes the top spot with $68 million wagered. Baseball comes in second with $23 million worth of wagers. Meanwhile, College football rounds up the top 3 with $16.5 million worth of wagers for October. Basketball takes in $12.7 million in wagers, while table tennis gets $9.3 million. There are also $28,514,954 million worth of wagers under the “others” category. As for bet types that we see in many a  sportsbook pay per head, $37,171,815 worth of wagers for the month are in parlays.
